Leadership Development

The Diablo Valley Chapter of NCL, Inc. develops its own six – year plan for the daughters, called Ticktockers.  The goal is to develop life skills, professional skills and social skills through:

  • Philanthropy work
  • Leadership training
  • Cultural experiences
  • Educational activities

Each Ticktocker class is assigned a Chapter event to assist with each year. We strive for the girls to learn leadership skills by helping to plan and host of all of our Chapter events.

Each Ticktocker is individually assigned a class job each year. In her job the Ticktocker works with her mother or other Patronesses to do her part to help run the assigned Chapter event or her class meetings and activities.

In addition to working closely with Ticktockers in her class, all mothers, called Patronesses, hold a Chapter job and actively participate as leaders in the operational success of the Chapter.
